Best Setup for Base Defense in Arc Raiders

Defending your base protects everything you have worked for. The right defensive setup ensures your stored materials, crafting stations, and progress stay secure.

Defensive Station Placement

Place high value stations deep inside your base where they are hardest to reach. Put defensive structures at chokepoints. Storage should be in the most secure location possible. Think about how an attacker would approach and block those paths.

Defensive Weapon Selection

For base defense, accuracy and stopping power matter more than mobility. Shotguns and high damage weapons excel in the close quarters of base defense. You know the layout and can pre aim corners and doorways.

Heavy Armor for Defense

Base defense is one of the few situations where heavy armor is clearly the best choice. You do not need mobility when fighting on your own ground. Maximum protection lets you hold positions that would be untenable in lighter armor.
