Best Loadouts for Buried City in Arc Raiders

Buried City is one of the most intense maps in Arc Raiders. Dense urban environments with underground passages create constant close quarter encounters. Prepare for tight fights and vertical surprises.

Close Range Dominance

This map favors close range weapons above all. The <a href="/items/bobcat">Bobcat</a> SMG and <a href="/items/il-toro">Il Toro</a> shotgun shine in the tight corridors and ruined buildings. Fast time to kill is critical because encounters happen at short notice around every corner.

Backup Ranged Option

While most fights are close range, some open plazas and rooftop areas exist. Carry a versatile secondary like the <a href="/items/bettina">Bettina</a> pistol or a compact assault rifle to handle the occasional medium range engagement without being caught off guard.

Armor and Mobility

Light to medium armor works best. The narrow passages mean you need to be able to reverse direction quickly. Heavy armor restricts your movement through tight spaces and makes it hard to escape underground dead ends. Mobility saves more lives than protection on this map.

Underground Navigation

The underground sections contain high value loot but are disorienting. Memorize the tunnel layouts before entering with valuable gear. Multiple entrances and exits exist for each underground area. Always know at least two ways out of any tunnel section.

Urban Combat Tips

Never walk through doorways without checking corners. Use audio cues extensively since sound travels well through buildings. Avoid skyline exposure on rooftops. The densest loot concentrations are in the central buildings but these are also the most contested areas. Time your runs to avoid peak competition.
