Close Scrutiny ARC Operation Guide for Arc Raiders

How to complete the Close Scrutiny ARC Operation in the Arc Raiders Flashpoint Update. Strategy, loadout recommendations, loot guide, and tips for breaching the ARC Assessor.

What is Close Scrutiny

Close Scrutiny is the first ARC Operation, a new major map condition introduced in the Flashpoint Update. When active, a massive ARC Assessor structure appears on the map surrounded by heavy ARC patrols including Vaporizers. General map loot is reduced, but the Assessor holds the richest rewards in the game. This is endgame content designed for well-geared Raiders.

When Does It Spawn

Close Scrutiny is a map condition that appears randomly like other conditions. Check the map screen before deploying to see if it is active. Party members in Speranza can now see active map conditions, making it easier to coordinate. When you see Close Scrutiny active, gear up with your best loadout before deploying.

Recommended Loadout

Bring your highest-tier armor and weapons. Medium or heavy armor is recommended since you will be fighting sustained engagements. The Dolabra is excellent for breaching the Assessor at close range. Pair it with a reliable ranged weapon like the Ferro Rifle for dealing with Vaporizers. Pack maximum healing items and at least one Surge Coil for area denial.

Approaching the Assessor

The ARC Assessor is surrounded by patrol routes. Study the patrol patterns from a distance before approaching. Vaporizers fly predictable circuits around the structure. Time your approach between patrol sweeps. Use terrain and buildings for cover as you close the distance. Rushing in is the fastest way to die.

Breaching the Assessor

The Assessor has multiple entry points with varying difficulty. Side entries have fewer guards but less loot. The main breach point is heavily defended but leads directly to the highest-value loot rooms. In squads, consider splitting to hit multiple entries simultaneously to divide the ARC defenses.

Loot Priorities Inside

Once inside, prioritize the locked rooms. With the Flashpoint Update, locked room loot scales with key rarity, so save your best keys for the Assessor. Rare and legendary keys yield significantly better drops inside the operation compared to normal map locations. Grab high-value items first since the ARC response escalates the longer you stay inside.

Extraction

Extraction after a successful Assessor breach is the most dangerous part. Other players know the operation spawns valuable loot and may camp extraction points. Vary your extraction route and consider using less obvious extraction points even if they are farther away. The loot is only yours once you extract with it.
