Extraction Zone Mastery in Arc Raiders

Master every extraction zone in Arc Raiders. Zone layouts, common ambush spots, safe approach angles, and timing strategies for flawless extractions.

Understanding Extraction Zones

Every extraction zone in Arc Raiders has a specific layout with approach routes, cover positions, and danger areas. Mastering these layouts means you can extract safely even under pressure. Spend time studying each zone during low stakes raids so the layout is second nature when it matters most.

Common Ambush Locations

Other players and ARC enemies frequently set up near extraction zones because they know raiders will come. Learn the common ambush positions for each zone. High ground overlooking the extraction area, buildings adjacent to the zone, and the approach paths themselves are all common camping spots. Check these before committing to extraction.

Safe Approach Routes

Every extraction zone has at least one approach angle that provides more cover than others. Often this means approaching from an unexpected direction rather than the most direct path. Take the extra thirty seconds to come from a covered angle rather than sprinting across open ground. Those seconds are cheap insurance against ambush.

Timing Your Extraction Call

The extraction signal draws attention. Once you call for extraction, enemies will converge on your position. Make sure the area is clear before calling. Have your back to a wall or corner. Be ready to fight during the extraction countdown. If possible, call extraction from a position where you can see all approach routes.

Team Extraction Protocol

When extracting as a team, one player secures the zone while others initiate extraction. Rotate security duty based on who has the least valuable loot. The player with the best combat loadout should always be the last to extract since they can hold the zone longest if enemies appear.

Emergency Extraction Scenarios

Sometimes you need to extract under fire. In these situations, use smoke grenades to cover your approach, sprint directly to the extraction point, and accept that you might take some damage. A wounded successful extraction beats a healthy death. Practice emergency extraction routes for every zone so they become automatic under pressure.
