Flashpoint Update Complete Guide for Arc Raiders
Everything new in the Arc Raiders Flashpoint Update (Patch 1.22.0). Close Scrutiny operation, Vaporizer enemy, Dolabra and Canto weapons, Surge Coil, crafting overhaul, and all balance changes explained.
What is the Flashpoint Update
The Flashpoint Update (Patch 1.22.0) launched on March 31, 2026 and is one of Arc Raiders' biggest content drops. It introduces ARC Operations as a new type of major map condition, a deadly new airborne enemy, two new weapons, a new deployable, a cooperative project, and sweeping improvements to crafting and matchmaking. This guide covers everything you need to know to take advantage of the new content.
ARC Operation: Close Scrutiny
Close Scrutiny is the first ARC Operation, a new category of high-risk map condition. A massive ARC Assessor structure spawns on the map, surrounded by hostile patrols including the new Vaporizer enemy. There is less loot available around the map during this condition, but the Assessor itself contains high-value rewards for Raiders who can breach it. Bring your best gear and a full squad because this is endgame difficulty content.
New Enemy: The Vaporizer
The Vaporizer is an airborne ARC unit with devastating laser attacks and unpredictable movement patterns. It patrols the areas around ARC Operations and can catch Raiders off guard if they are not watching the skies. Its laser deals heavy damage in a sustained beam, so staying mobile and breaking line of sight is critical. Use cover and avoid open areas when Vaporizers are active. The Dolabra energy shotgun is particularly effective against them at close range.
New Weapons: Dolabra and Canto
The Dolabra is a legendary energy shotgun with a variable focus mechanism. You can fire a wide electrical burst for crowd control or funnel the electricity into a concentrated beam to punch through armor. It is best found inside Close Scrutiny operations. The Canto is a rare submachine gun running on medium ammunition, designed for aggressive close-quarters engagements. Both weapons fill gaps in the existing arsenal and are strong additions to any loadout.
New Deployable: Surge Coil
The Surge Coil is a rare deployable device that periodically electrifies its surroundings, shocking anything that enters its radius. It works as both area denial and a defensive tool. Place it near extraction points, doorways, or objectives to keep enemies at bay. It damages ARC units and players alike, so position it carefully during squad play.
High Gain Antenna Project
Celeste and Shani have a new cooperative project: building a High Gain Antenna for orbital surveillance. This requires Raiders to gather specific resources across multiple raids. Contributing to the project unlocks shared benefits for all participants. Check the project board in Speranza for required materials and current progress.
Crafting System Overhaul
The crafting interface received a major quality of life upgrade. You can now fulfill missing materials directly from the crafting screen. Instead of jumping between tabs to recycle, refine, or purchase materials, all suggested actions appear in a single window. This dramatically speeds up the crafting workflow and reduces friction when building gear.
Loot and Matchmaking Changes
Locked room loot values have been increased across the board, scaled by key rarity. Higher rarity keys now guarantee significantly better loot. Baron Husk loot spawns are also increased. On the matchmaking side, players who build custom loadouts are more likely to join fresh servers. Fill Squad and Solo vs Squad are now mutually exclusive options, and the matchmaking timer is displayed on all screens.
ARC Enemy Balance Changes
Rocketeers take reduced collision damage and no longer instantly die when stunned on impact. The chance for multiple Fireflies spawning together is reduced. ARC units identify nearby players faster but switch targets more intelligently instead of fixating on the first player spotted. Shredders now appear on all maps during certain conditions. Ticks disable all interactions except escape when attached.
Scrappy Feeding Boost
You can now feed your Scrappy specific items to boost loot collection variety and receive higher-value rewards during raids. This gives players more control over their loot outcomes and adds a strategic layer to inventory management. Experiment with different items to find the best feeding combinations for the materials you need.
