Station Upgrades Complete Guide for Arc Raiders

Everything about station upgrades in Arc Raiders. Upgrade paths, material requirements, unlock benefits, and the optimal order to upgrade every station.

Station Upgrade Overview

Your base stations are the core of your progression in Arc Raiders. Each station can be upgraded multiple levels, and each level unlocks new crafting recipes, improves output quality, or enhances processing speed. Understanding the upgrade system and planning your path saves materials and accelerates your overall progression through the game.

Weapon Workbench Upgrades

The Weapon Workbench is one of the most impactful stations to upgrade. Each level unlocks recipes for higher tier weapons, from common pistols at level one to legendary rifles at maximum level. Prioritize this station if your current weapons feel underpowered for the zones you want to raid. Better weapons directly translate to faster kills and safer raids.

Armor Station Upgrades

The Armor Station follows a similar progression to the Weapon Workbench. Higher levels unlock better armor recipes with greater damage reduction and durability. Upgrade the Armor Station alongside or slightly behind the Weapon Workbench. Having the best weapons means nothing if you die before you can use them.

Recycling Station Upgrades

Upgrading the Recycling Station increases the material yield from every item you process. This compound benefit means earlier upgrades pay for themselves over time. A level three Recycling Station might give you 50 percent more materials than level one, which dramatically accelerates all other station upgrades.

Medical Station Upgrades

The Medical Station unlocks better healing recipes at each level. Higher tier healing items restore more health and have additional effects like regeneration or status removal. Upgrade this station when your current healing items cannot keep up with the damage you take in harder zones.

Optimal Upgrade Order

For most players, the ideal upgrade order is: Weapon Workbench to level two, Armor Station to level two, Recycling Station to level two, then cycle back and push each to level three. This gives you competitive combat gear quickly while building the recycling foundation for future upgrades. Adjust based on your personal bottleneck. If you die a lot, prioritize armor. If you lack materials, prioritize recycling.
