Survival Basics for New Arc Raiders Players
Essential survival tips for new Arc Raiders players. Learn the fundamentals of combat, looting, extraction, and staying alive during your first raids.
Your First Raid
Your first raid will feel overwhelming. Focus on learning the map layout rather than collecting every item. Memorize extraction points and major landmarks. Survival is more important than loot when you are still learning the basics.
Combat Fundamentals
Always aim for headshots to maximize damage. Use cover whenever possible and never stand in the open during a fight. Listen for audio cues that signal enemy approaches. When outnumbered, retreat is always an option. Dead raiders bring home nothing.
Looting Smart
Do not stop to examine every item during a raid. Grab what you can and check it later. Prioritize containers and crates over loose ground loot. Keep moving and do not stay in one spot too long. Stationary targets are easy targets.
Extraction Protocol
Extraction is how you keep your loot. Know where the extraction points are before you need them. Start heading toward extraction when your inventory is getting full or when the situation gets dangerous. A partial haul is better than losing everything.
Learning From Failure
You will die. A lot. Each death is a lesson about enemy patterns, dangerous areas, or tactical mistakes. Pay attention to what killed you and adjust your approach. The best raiders are the ones who learned the most from early failures.
