Advanced Weight Management in Arc Raiders
Advanced weight management techniques for Arc Raiders. Breakpoints, value density calculations, dynamic looting decisions, and optimal carry strategies.
Weight Breakpoints
Arc Raiders has weight breakpoints where your movement speed changes. Below 50 percent capacity you move at full speed. Between 50 and 80 percent you slow slightly. Above 80 percent your movement and stamina are significantly impaired. Over 100 percent you can barely move. Understanding these breakpoints helps you make informed looting decisions.
Value Density Calculations
Calculate the credits per kilogram for every item you consider picking up. A legendary item worth 5000 credits weighing 2kg has a value density of 2500 per kg. A common item worth 200 credits weighing 1kg has a density of only 200 per kg. Always replace low density items with high density ones as your inventory fills.
Dynamic Looting Decisions
Your looting strategy should change as your inventory fills. Early in a raid, pick up anything with reasonable value. As weight increases, become more selective. Near capacity, only pick up items that are higher value density than your lowest current item. This ensures your extraction haul is always optimized.
Weight and Combat Performance
Carrying too much weight makes you slower in combat, which means taking more damage, which means using more healing, which means you might not survive to extract your loot. Consider leaving yourself lighter than maximum capacity so you can still fight effectively if ambushed near extraction.
Loadout Weight Budgeting
Before each raid, calculate how much of your weight budget your loadout consumes. Weapons, armor, and consumables all eat into your looting capacity. A lighter loadout means more loot capacity. Consider whether those extra consumables are worth the loot you are giving up. Experienced raiders carry exactly what they need and nothing more.
Weight Optimization Tools
The Arc Raiders AI keep or sell advisor factors weight into its recommendations. Items that are heavy relative to their value score lower than lightweight valuable items. Use this tool during raids to make quick swap decisions. Over time, weight optimization becomes intuitive as you memorize the value density of common items.
