What each source calls the tower
The item text calls it the Ground Control Tower. The wiki's page for this key calls it Control Tower B6. The base map prints Control Tower A6 beside the door, and a quest from Shani names A6 as well, so A6 is the label on our marker.
The ground level doors
Per the wiki, the key opens a set of locked doors at ground level inside Control Tower B6 that grant access to the top floor. The page lists Scavenging and the quest Lost In Transmission as the key's sources and names no loot containers.
Shani's logs at the top of the tower
In our quest data, Shani's Lost In Transmission asks you to visit Control Tower A6, reach the top of it and establish a connection from the terminal, and its reward is a Snap Hook, not this key.
